Vintage Service Terms and Conditions/Contract

 

China Hire

Hire period is for up to 3 days. Please enquire further if an extended period is required.  The minimum value for any of our events is £80.00.  We require a 25% deposit as confirmation of your order which is non-refundable.  The balance is payable no later than 7 days before the date of your event.

 

Depending on the event, a returnable £100 deposit may be required.  Damaged or missing items will be deducted from the deposit.  You will be informed of charges within 24 hours of collection.  Please see list of charges below.

 

Food

The minimum value for food is £100.00, of which is for delivery only.  We require a 25% deposit as confirmation of your order which is non-refundable.  The balance is payable no later than 7 days before the date of your event, where final numbers are confirmed.

 

Combined Food and China Hire

China will be collected at a mutually agreed time on the day of delivery or the following day, for smaller food/china packages.

 

Child Food Charge

Under 3s free

Ages 3-11 - half adult price

Age 11 and over - full adult price

 

Special Dietary Requirements

For larger events, we require 14 days’ notice for any special dietary requirements.

 

Food Allergy Disclaimer

Vintage Service is NOT an allergy-free kitchen. We cannot guarantee that our food is free from ingredients that may affect those with food allergies. We recognise the seriousness of food allergies, and we recommend that you contact us before you place an order to inform us of any food allergies that you or your party may have.  We reserve the right to decline any orders for clients with serious food allergies. Vintage Service will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to our products.

 

The following ingredients are used in our kitchen:

 

•                Milk and other dairy products

 

•                Eggs

 

•                Nuts: peanuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds, cashews, coconut

 

•                Wheat and gluten

 

 

Staff

Staff may be hired for your event, starting from £15.00 per staff member.

 

 

Delivery and Collection

We offer a free delivery and collection service within 5 miles of Scarborough (YO12 7RR) for orders over £150.00.  Please ask for cost of smaller deliveries, collection charges and deliveries beyond 5 miles.  Free food delivery within 20 miles for orders over £400.00.

Cancellation

China Hire: Cancellation will be: 100% if cancelled within 7 days.

50% if cancelled within 2 weeks.

 

Catering: Cancellation will be:     100% if cancelled within 7 days.

50% if cancelled within 4 weeks.

 

We recommend that insurance is taken out for large events.

 

Quotations and Deposits

Formal quotations will be provided following discussions regarding requirements.  A copy of the mutually agreed quotation or Event Planner Form shall form the contract.  A non-returnable 25% deposit will confirm the booking and acknowledges agreement to our Terms and Conditions.

 

Price quotations are based on initial numbers given.  Should final number confirmation drop significantly in relation to the event, we will increase final costs accordingly.

 

Although we will try to carry out work within the price allowed by the quotation, we reserve the right to agree and bill for the difference if specifications change.  Any additions to agreed menu will also be charged for.

 

China Hire Damage & Loss Charges

Damages and losses will be charged at the following costs:

£6.00 per cup and saucer (or part of)

£4.00 per side plate 

£6.00 per dinner plate  

£4.00 per milk jug/sugar bowl/glass trifle dish

£5.00 per sugar tong/cake slice/tea strainer

£15.00 per teapot /coffee pot/butter dish/small platter 

£8.00 per sandwich/cake plate 

£20.00 per glass trifle bowl/tureen

£25.00 per single tiered cake stand/large platter

£35.00 per 2 or 3-tiered cake stand

£35.00 per metal cake stand

£5.00 per glass/china jug or vase

£1.00 per cutlery item

 

Faults, Breakages and Loss

Notification is to be given to Vintage Service within 24 hours if there is any fault with any item.  During the period of hiring, the hirer takes full responsibility for any breakages and loss.  It would be appreciated that any such breakages will be notified to Vintage Service upon collection after the event.  Any damage discovered by Vintage Service after the event will be notified within 48 hours of product return.

 

 

 

 

Washing

Due to the delicate nature of the vintage tableware, under no circumstances should the china be washed by dishwasher. Vintage Service will wash all tableware following your event free of charge.  Please remove any excess debris and pack as found.

 

Hire Disclaimer

Vintage Service cannot accept responsibility for any damage or injury caused by any of the items hired.  All items are under the hirer's responsibility. Vintage Service will not accept liability for any claims that arise from any event concerning or involving items hired from Vintage Service.

 

Force Majeure

Vintage Service will not accept liability for the failure to perform any obligations due to strike, lockout, hostilities, or any other circumstances beyond our control.

No liability is accepted for loss, damage or consequential loss caused by any failure to perform our obligations.

 

Data Protection

We will process any personal data collected for the purposes of administering the booking for the event or providing a service. From time to time, we may also process such data to provide the customer with information on other services that we feel may be of future interest. We will not give details to a third party.

 

COVID-19 Temporary Policy

Should bookings be disrupted by Covid-19, deposits will not be refunded but every available effort to accommodate an alternative date will be made.

 

By paying the deposit/full amount, the terms of this contract are accepted.
